Dr. Cini Matthew John is a writer and scientist whose work bridges the worlds of literature and science. She made literary history when her poem “Chathurangakalathile Aravam” (The Echo on the Chessboard, 2016) became the first female-authored work featured in a global metro Poetry Installation (Poetry). Her poetry collection The Key Factor (2018) showcases her distinctive voice, with works appearing in five anthologies and numerous literary journals. She has a particular passion for Haiku and actively promotes this poetry form.
As Senior Scientist and Scientific Lead at the McGaig Institute, University of Calgary, Dr. John has authored over twenty-five peer-reviewed publications, holds multiple patents, and has been honored with national and international awards for her scientific contributions.
